The LEED certification enables buildings to be designed beyond the laws and regulations. In this way, buildings become more energy-efficient, water-efficient, less environmentally harmful and healthier habitable places. In addition, the LEED certificate enables the building to be recognized internationally, to increase its value and to gain prestige from the companies and institutions building the building.

New Construction and Major Renovations: This is the LEED evaluation system suitable for new constructions or major renovations of commercial buildings and / or high-rise (over 4-6 floors) residential buildings including all interiors. 

Existing Buildings: All existing building types (except houses) can be evaluated under this category. The existing buildings category includes criteria for more operation and maintenance of buildings. Therefore, a certificate can be obtained by performing operational issues within the framework of environmentally friendly procedures without requiring additional investment costs.

Core & Shell: It is a system developed for evaluating the environmental performance of the projects including only core and shell sections and common areas within the scope of the project. In particular, trade centers, offices and shopping centers where the construction of indoor spaces are left to the tenant or the buyer fall into this category.

Retail: Banks, restaurants, supermarkets, clothing, electronics etc. under this category. stores can be considered as single or chain. Such shops / chains can be considered LEED Retail-NC if it is a single building or LEED Retail-CI if it is in a shopping mall..

Commercial Interiors: LEED category that covers indoor projects other than stores. It is an ideal system especially for office interior projects in buildings built as cores and shells. Fast the scope of applicability and direct impacts and environmental performance this certification type is preferred by many interior office project in Qatar and the world.

Homes: All residential buildings up to 6 floors can be classified under this category. 4-6 floors can also be evaluated under LEED New Buildings. In this category, particular attention was paid to issues that need to be considered in the name of sustainability and human health / comfort in residential homes. It contains different criteria according to the systems developed for commercial buildings. In this system, unlike other systems, USGBC-authorized auditors "Green Raters" are performing the audit task.

Schools: An evaluation system suitable for new construction and / or major renovations of school buildings covering kindergarten to high school teaching (K12) .

Healthcare: Within this system, all hospitals, patient care centers, private / long-term care centers and nursing homes can be evaluated.
